Dear Sisters...
In 2007, when my book first came out, I wrote this:
"Most [traditional] clearing efforts do not make room for us to feel our feelings, honor our ebbs and flows, create a container of safety, embrace our shadow side, or allow us to be more compassionate with our selves. The modus operandi focuses on end result, not the journey; on our intellect, not our innate wisdom; on throwing away, not letting go...
"Until we begin to make a shift in our mindset that recognizes and embraces and includes the feminine aspects of clearing, we will not begin to change our lives, nor bring change to the planet. It is, in fact, this more balanced treatment that takes us beyond clutter-freedom into the vaster territory of our most spacious self." **
If you've read my book, taken a workshop with me, or followed my blog, you'll know that clearing any thing or thought is not sustainable until we connect with, and embrace the more receptive, non-linear, mysterious, messy - feminine side - of clearing.
It is as simple as that.
There appears to be a groundswell of support for it too. A couple of weeks ago more than 30,000 women from 36 countries participated in a ground-breaking f.r.e.e teleconference called "The Keys to Feminine Power" hosted by Claire Zammit and Katherine Woodward Thomas.
I believe that Claire and Katherine are onto something really big with their simple and radical message. By challenging all our old beliefs (assumptions, habits, patterns), and guiding us beyond them, they are taking what I call "clearing" to a whole new level.
