"Our life is frittered away by detail...simplify, simplify." –Henry David Thoreau
Dear friends, Greetings from the high seas! Today marks Day 107 of a five-month adventure around the world. Yes, my husband and I set sail from Miami, Florida last December 15th, and we are now heading west towards India as I write this. And a LOT has happend in between! From bucket list destinations like Cuba, Panama Canal, South Pacific, and Indochina to places we never knew existed before, I can't even begin to process (let alone share yet) what we've experienced over these last few months. Suffice it to say, it's been an incredible way to see the world; to slow
down the pace of our lives and simplify: to live in a small room, wear only what we each could pack in one large suitcase, wake up with the sun, go to bed early and be rocked to sleep, unplug from news media, embrace discomfort and practice detachment, meet new people of all ages who share our passion for travel and have amazing stories to tell.
While we were drawn in by the exotic idea of travel around the world – the promise of seeing new worlds, experiencing new cultures – the richest part of the trip, it turns out, has been much less about the destination as the journey itself: the gifts (and shifts) that arise
naturally from challenging our perceptions and taking our time...
Taking time to reflect, and refresh, and regroup. Taking time to watch old limiting patterns surface (and let them go). Taking time to quiet the mind and nourish the soul.
If you would like to have a taste of what I'm talking about without packing a bag and leaving home for five months, keep scrolling. Believe me, you do not need to travel by sea to press the refresh button. You can experience it right now, in your
own home, in your own life.
Below are some ways to feed your soul and simplify your life, including my brand new 52-week course on DailyOM aptly named "A Year to Simplify Your Life."
Wishing you spacious "travels" and smooth sailing.
Happy clearing!
Stephanie

Whether you are a seasoned veteran, or a newbie to my "slow drip clearing" methods and
wonder which yearlong course is right for you, these answers to FAQs might help:
A. They both take you on a journey. If my 365-day program takes you on a journey of clearing what's holding you back, the new 52-week course takes you on a journey of cheering what's calling your forward. While each week still offers plenty of "clearing" opportunities, the focus in "A Year to Simplify" is largely on the goodies that stay; the goodies that are already yours to discover, embrace, and enjoy.
Q. Can I take both courses at the same time? A. The answer is yes. While each course stands on its own, both programs inform and support one another really well. The former delivers shorter daily bites that are
easily digestible over a 365-day period. The 52-week course goes deeper, like a rich meal designed to be digested and integrated more slowly and contemplatively, one week at a time. Both together dovetail beautifully.

Simplifying Natural Wellness

Just in! New book by my friend, colleague, and DailyOM co-founder, Madisyn
Taylor
Through the complications of prescription medication and inattentive healthcare, feeling hopeless and unable to see a future for herself, DailyOm co-founder, Madisyn Taylor decided to reclaim her life and work towards her healthiest self on her own terms. Where pills and self-medicating
behaviors failed her, she sought help in the holistic medical and spiritual communities and found changes in a balanced system based on these four pillars of wellness: - Pillar One: Clear Your Mind
- Pillar Two: Nurture Your Spirit
- Pillar Three: Strengthen Your Body
- Pillar Four: Find Your Tribe
While Madisyn's system addressed an illness steeped in depression, anxiety, and chronic fatigue syndrome, she soon found that her program also worked for
quitting smoking and ending self-sabotaging behaviors. Using Madisyn's experiences and step-by-step practices, Unmedicated will inspire and encourage you to examine your own life, and embrace a new, healthy, and holistic way of living. With simple yet effective actions, you too,
can access the four pillars of wellness to create a practical and achievable plan to transform your entire being.
